Cikal adalah komunitas pembelajar seumur hidup yang didirikan oleh Najelaa Shihab dan Dewi Soeharto pada Agustus 1999, berkembang dari pra-sekolah hingga sekolah menengah atas dengan kurikulum International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, dan Kurikulum Nasional/Merdeka, di bawah naungan Yayasan Cinta Keluarga dan PT Sekolah Cikal.

Cikal was founded by Najelaa Shihab and Dewi Soeharto in August 1999 as a Community of Life-long Learners, focussing on pre-schools. Now Cikal has expanded from pre-schools to high schools, with extensive programs to choose from. Cikal has also provided Daycares and Special Needs Student Supports facilities, and established a Teacher Development institution called Kampus Guru Cikal.
Cikal is a community of lifelong learners you can trust to help your children succeed beyond school. Under the leadership of Najelaa Shihab and Dewi Soeharto, and supported by Yayasan Cinta Keluarga and PT Sekolah Cikal, Cikal has grown with the belief that the future belongs to a great young generation ready to lead and build a harmonious society.
Through the Cikal Ways of Learning, referred to as the 5Cs, students strive to achieve Cikal's vision and the 5 Stars Competencies. Cikal implements a personalised curriculum for every student, a competencies-based digitally integrated curriculum for all levels.
The learning process at Sekolah Cikal and Rumah Main Cikal is divided into nine phases from Preschool to Secondary School, from Kelas Adik-Adik (6 to 24 months) through Year 11 to Year 12 (16 to 18 years old), accommodating students with special learning needs at every stage.
