Located in a safe and accessible area, our school serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, offering a range of academic pathways that cater to diverse learning needs and aspirations. We are proud to combine strong academic standards with a focus on character development, resilience, and global citizenship.

Mahatma Gandhi School operates under Yayasan Gandhi Seva Loka, a foundation established in the late 1940s by the Sindhi community in Jakarta with the mission to provide quality education rooted in strong values. Since its early beginnings in the 1950s, the school has grown into a respected institution, serving both the local and international community while upholding the vision of nurturing principled, capable, and compassionate young leaders.

Our TK section is working towards becoming a Cambridge Early Learning Centre, ensuring that our youngest learners benefit from a stimulating, inquiry-based environment that builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills. In our Primary School, we now offer Full English Programmes for Grades 1 and 2, with the goal of expanding to a full Cambridge Primary Programme across the section.

From Grades 7 to 8, our students follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary framework, which develops a broad academic base and critical thinking skills. In Grades 9 and 10, students enter Cambridge Upper Secondary, preparing for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. Mahatma Gandhi School Jalan Tabing is also affiliated with Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School Jakarta and the Board of Secondary Education Indian Schools Indonesia, which is equivalent to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE – India) and associated with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
