Pah Tsung School was first established at the beginning of Indonesia's independence around 1945, founded by a group of people of Chinese descent who saw many children and the younger generation who were not in school at that time. The name Pah Tsung stands for Pah Tsen Tsung Sio, meaning a Middle School located in the City of Batavia; after Batavia was renamed Jakarta, the school became known as Yah Tsung. During the New Order era foreign languages were prohibited by the government, so in 1966 the school was forced to close.

Around 2000, alumni gathered again with the aim of rebuilding their alma mater, and in 2011 the foundation stone for the new Pah Tsung School building was laid in City Park Complex A4, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, under the support of the Panca Cemerlang Foundation. Pah Tsung School was re-established in the 2012-2013 Academic Year starting from Playgroup, Kindergarten and Elementary Grade 1, expanding year by year until Junior High School opened in the 2015-2016 school year and Senior High School in the 2018-2019 school year.

Pah Tsung Kindergarten is a trilingual school that uses Mandarin, English and Indonesian as the media of instruction in all learning activities, preparing its graduates to face global competition in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Pah Tsung Junior High School implements the National Curriculum enriched by the Pearson Edexcel Curriculum, particularly in Mathematics, Science, and English, allowing students to earn the Pearson Edexcel International Award in Lower Secondary (iLS). The school also offers an in-depth Mandarin language programme with native Mandarin teachers, enabling students to earn internationally recognised HSK qualifications.
