JIS is a diverse community of learners representing over 70 nationalities where every student is supported to achieve their very best. We create, teach, and learn together across three garden-like campuses with leading-edge facilities that support independent inquiry, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative study.
As a legal entity, JIS is a yayasan (nonprofit organization) operating as a Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (SPK), or Joint Cooperation School, and is recognized by both the Indonesian government and several internationally certified accreditation bodies.
For over 70 years JIS has been delivering a high-quality international education to students in South Jakarta. With students representing over 70 different nationalities, JIS has four schools across three lush, open campuses spanning 20 hectares, and students from Elementary School to High School have hundreds of clubs and activities to choose from.
JIS has two Elementary School campuses: Pattimura Elementary (PEL) and Pondok Indah Elementary (PIE). PIE is part of the main JIS campus and is adjacent to the Cilandak campus for Middle School (Grades 6 to 8) and High School (Grades 9 to 12), connecting to it via a walking bridge.
